Do we need to pre-book for this event?
Yes, this event must be pre-booked. This event is extremely popular and certain dates will sell-out completely. You can book online using the link on the main event page.
My child is ill, can I get a refund / transfer?
Unfortunately not. Just like all other major ticketed attractions it's not possible to refund or transfer tickets at short notice.
If you can't make it do see if anyone else is able to take your tickets in your place.
Can I change my ticket date / time?
Unfortunately due to high ticket demand we are unable to amend or alter ticket dates or times after purchase, as specified in our Terms and Conditions. Please ensure you purchase the ticket time you wish to visit.
I did not receive my booking confirmation/tickets, what should I do?
Please email the ticket team directly using tickets@churchfarmevents.co.uk and they'll be able to look into this for you.
Do you do discounts for group bookings, disabled visitors or carers?
No, we offer a flat rate for all customers.
What does the free under 2 child ticket include?
Children under 2 are free providing they are carried when on the trailer or when walking. They'll be able to see and enjoy the whole experience and get a photo with Santa too. This free ticket doesn't include a gift or a mention from Santa however. If you'd like your under 2 year old to receive a gift and be mentioned by Santa then do purchase a child ticket for them instead.
Can we book two adjacent rides for a larger group?
Yes, but you'll need to get in touch with us to do this. Not all ride times are shown on the booking system so we'll usually need to book you in manually.
Each ride group will still need to travel around the ride seperately from the other one to ensure that everyone can see and so that the timing structure still works.
Do adults and children need tickets?
Yes, each person attending requires a ticket.
I don't know what my child wants for Christmas yet- can I fill this in later?
Yes, the two questions about presents and being good are deferable meaning you can fill them in later. Do make sure you setup an account when you purchase tickets so you can login at a later date to do this.
How long does The Santa Experience last?
The whole ride lasts about 70 minutes.
This comprises approximately 10 mins introductory video, 5 mins on the tractor, 20 minutes watching scenes on foot, 5 mins in the reindeer barn, 5 mins at the reindeer viewing area, 3 mins back on the tractor, 5 mins walk to Santa then 15 minutes talking to Santa.
Is farm park access included with The Santa Experience
The farm park will be closed while The Santa Experience is running. You therefore won't be able to use the farm attractions during your visit. It will be possible to see some of the farm animals from the ride though.
How soon do we need to arrive?
Try to arrive at least 10 minutes before your booked ride time to give yourself time. If you're late it usually won't be possible to get you on another time slot.
Will the event take place if it's windy / raining?
Yes, the event will continue in all weather conditions providing it is safe to do so.
Most of the experience takes place in a covered tractor or building. There are only a few walking sections outdoors.
Please do ensure that everyone has warm and waterproof clothing to keep them cosy on the ride.
Can we use prams / pushchairs?
Unfortunately we can't fit prams or pushchairs on the trailer so ask that these are not used. We recommend baby carriers or slings be used for very small children.
Will we be able to feed / stroke the reindeer?
Feeding the reindeer is strictly prohibited due to their particular diet. You may stroke the reindeer if they come over to you but all interaction is on their terms.
How does the 2022 ride differ from the 2021 one?
For 2022 we've created some new covered barns for scenes. There is less time on the tractor itself with more time on foot making the idividual scenes more immersive.
How does the personalization work?
When you book online we'll ask you some questions about the children in your group. Santa will then use some of this info to personalize each group.
What presents should we fill in when we place our booking?
Do only add presents to the form which your children will be receiving from Santa on the big day. Please don't let us know about items which they've asked for but aren't likely to receive. Also do make sure that you don't include any surprise presents. All info on the form could be referenced by Santa as part of your visit.
Do we get to meet Santa?
Yes, you will meet Santa in person as part of your visit. Santa will meet your group and speak to everyone together but you should be able to get a photo of just your family with Santa too.
How do I enter or change the child information at a later date?
Some of the questions required at booking have the option to be deferred and also can be changed at a later date too.

Is there much walking involved?
The walk from the middle of the car car park to the tractor boarding area is about 100m.
The tractor ride up to the North Pole Outpost is about 5 mins.
The walk around the scenes at The North Pole Outpost are around 240m in total.
The walk around the reindeer barn is around 65m in total.
The tractor ride from the reindeer barn to Santa is about 5 mins.
The walk from the tractor to Santa is about 65m in total.
The walk from Santa back to the middle of the car park is about 100m.
Is the terrain suitable for wheelchairs?
We have resurfaced over 200m of grass pathways with crush and run to make it as accessible as possible, but please bear in mind that this is an outdoor event on a farm. As the paths between the scenes are outside the ease of wheelchair use can largely be determined by the weather. Bad weather can make the paths difficult for wheelchair use. We recommend the use of wheelchairs / buggies with large wheels to give you the best chance of being able to navigate between the scenes.
Are there any large gradients?
The farm is on a sloped site but you shouldn't need to traverse and major hills as part of the ride route.
Can we take wheelchairs on the tractor?
We're able to accommodate one folding wheelchair on each trailer. Please do email james@churchfarmevents.co.uk to book this in as soon as you've placed your order.
Are there any stairs or steps?
Yes- the trailer has 4 steps for access but there are hand railings to assist in this process.
Elsewhere there's a single step to enter and exit the reindeer barn.
My child has a food allergy, do you have an alternative to the usual chocolate gift?
Yes, we have an alternative edible Santa for children with allergies which look like this -

Do check the ingredients and allergen information thoroughly to make sure they're suitable for your child.
Just mention you'd like the alternative gift to Santa when the gifts are handed out and we'll have these ready in the basket for you.
If our alternative gift isn't suitable then you can choose to bring along your own item and we can get this to Santa to pass on to your child.
Are dogs allowed on the ride?
Unfortunately not everyone likes dogs so for the enjoyment of everyone we ask that all pets are left at home.
Can we feed the animals?
Unfortunately this will not be possible.

How do I change the time or date of my booked Dee Dog Park session?
You can change the date and time of your booking as long as it's more than 48 hours before your booked slot. Within 48 hours it's too short notice to sell the slot so we won't be able to move or refund that session.

You'll then be able to find and change the time of your booked slot.
How many vehicles are permitted per session?
Only 3 vehicles are permitted per booked session. We do this to limit vehicle traffic on the access road to the park as this is also a public footpath.
Can I use the field for my own event, meet or class?"
Yes but you'll need to request a custom quote for this. Dee Dog Park is only for private sessions only usually.
Does the Dee Dog Park have any lighting?
No, there is no mains power or lighting in the Dee Dog Park so do choose your time slot accordingly.
When do I need to confirm final numbers?
A GUEST LIST must be provided at least a week before the day of your party, so that people can check in as they arrive at the Cattle Shed Kiosk (entrance building).
What if I want to add more guests?
We will admit all the guests named on your guest list. Any guests not named on your list will be charged at usual farm park access rates on arrival.

Where is the Party Room?
Upon entering the Farm Park, turn left and head towards the ‘Hen House’, take another left at the ‘Hen House’ and follow the path (past the play area, go-karts and animal paddocks) until you see a glass building. Your party room is inside the glass building, at the back, on the left. Please don’t hesitate to ask a member of staff for directions if you get lost.
When can I arrive to setup the room?
The host can gain access to the party room 30 minutes before the guests arrive.
Can I decorate the room?
Yes! We encourage you to decorate the Party Room as much or as little as you like! However, please ensure you have cleared up all decorations and are ready to leave by the end of your party slot.
Can I play music?
Yes! We do not supply music systems or speakers but there are plug sockets available for you to bring your own. However, we ask you remain respectful and mindful of other farm park users.
Can I bring my own entertainment?
Yes! Whether it’s a superhero coming to visit, a balloon modeller or you wish to set up a face painting station, we have no problem with you organising additional entertainment for you and your party guests. However, we do ask you notify us prior to doing so.
What happens if it rains?
We carry on as normal!
The ‘Tractor Ride’ has sides with plastic windows, which can be dropped down to keep everyone dry if it rains. There is also an indoor sandpit and undercover pedal tractors (located in the same building as the party room) to keep guests entertained on particularly wet days.
But regardless, we still recommend you wrap up warm, bring wellies, a waterproof coat and maybe even an umbrella!
What should I wear?
It really depends on the weather as you will be exposed to the elements most of the time. Therefore if it’s wet and cold: wrap up warm, bring wellies, a waterproof coat and maybe an umbrella. If it’s hot: wear loose fitting clothing, sun hats and don’t forget your sunscreen!
Don’t come in your Sunday best and high heels – wear suitable clothing and footwear. It’s a farm; the animals don’t care what you look like!
Who looks after the children during the party?
You are responsible for all of the children within your party at all times.
Do make sure you book enough adults to supervise your group.
Can you provide any food?
Unfortunately, as of right now, we don’t have an onsite café and therefore cannot provide any catering services. But every party room hire time slot comes with tea and coffee (milk, sugar, cups, etc. all included).
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes! There is a table inside the party room for you to set up your own food and drink.
Do we need to book?
YES- to minimise physical contact as much as possible, we’re now only accepting online bookings, made prior to your visit. This is so we can safely limit the number of visitors at the farm each day. For our latest availability do follow the ticket booking links.
Please choose your day carefully, due to high demand, we won’t be able to amend your ticket booking once purchased. We look forward to seeing you at Church Farm soon.
How do I change the date of my booked ticket?
Unfortunately we are only able to accept online bookings at this stage due to the overwhelming demand for a limited number of tickets and we must refer you to our terms and conditions which state that all tickets purchased are non-refundable and non-transferable, therefore we cannot move booking dates or add extra guests to your booking.
If you would like to add more people to your booking, we ask that you make a separate booking for those people.
We’re currently unable to accept online bookings for groups of more than 6 people as we must adhere to government guidelines, this is one of the many measures we’ve put in place to ensure you have an enjoyable but also safe day out.
Social distancing is required at all times in order to protect visitors and staff. Please help us to keep people safe by visiting only with your own household group or ‘bubble’.
How do I add extra people to my booking?

Can I still use cash at Church Farm?
YES- We encourage you to use cashless and contactless payments as much as possible when at the farm, however we will still have some till points available to accept cash where needed. All locations accept card payments and contactless payments, which can now be made for transactions up to £45.
We have a question and can't get through on the phone. What can we do?
To ensure the safety of our staff we currently have a smaller team working at the farm. This means that it’s taking us a little longer than usual to answer enquiries. You can find lots of information about booking and visits on our website. For anything else, please email james@churchfarmevents.co.uk and our team will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for bearing with us at this time.
Do we need to book if we're members?
NO- we've allowed enough capacity to allow our members to arrive without pre-booking. We've been able to do this based on the existing membership numbers and current government guidelines. We'll still need to scan your membership cards on arrival as usual which also complies with current track and trace guidance.
Can we bring a picnic?
YES- you’re very welcome to bring a picnic with you when visiting the farm. Please use our picnic areas and where possible, please take your waste home with you for responsible disposal.
Are the toilets open?
YES- All of our toilet facilities will be open, with limited capacity to enable social distancing. Our team will be carefully managing these areas, and so there may be a short wait to use the facilities. All of our washrooms will be cleaned thoroughly and regularly throughout the day for your safety.
Are dogs allowed in the farm park?
YES- as long as the rules on our Dog Policy (javascript:void(0))are followed.
Is the farm park open on event days?
It's not possible to just come along to the farm park on event dates.

Is it possible to just pick a pumpkin?
No, PYO pumpkin is only available as part of our Family Fright Festival activities which require a booked event admission ticket.
Can we change our booked visit date?

Can we just come into the farm park on this day (without the Family Fright Festival activities)?
No, on Family Fright Festival event days you'll only be allowed into the farm park if you purchase a Family Fright Festival ticket. It's not possible just to come into the farm park on the Family Fright Festival event dates.

Is a pumpkin included in the price?
No, a pumpkin isn't included in the admission price. If you'd like to pick a pumpkin then do bring some money with you. A pumpkin will cost £1.50 - £15 depending on size. They're all labelled individually so you can choose a pumpkin at a price which suits you.
What time should we arrive?
If you have a FULL DAY ticket the event is open from 10am - 5pm each day and you can arrive anytime between these times.
If you've booked a PART DAY ticket you can arrive anytime from 2pm - 5pm. The park is open until 5pm.
It's probably best to plan your day around the activity timetable which features timed activities throughout the day. The timetable is on the main page for this event. Most activities are repeated to give you a bit of choice and to make sure you don't miss out on stuff.

Do adults need a ticket?
Yes, everyone aged 2 and over must have a ticket. Children under 2 are free.
Is this event scary?
Hopefully not! It's designed to be spooky rather than scary so should be lots of fun for all. It's aimed at young families with children from 3 - 12 years old.
Will you run out of pumpkins?
Yes, we will run out of pumpkins at some point. Based on our calculations there should be pumpkins available on most dates but if pumpkin picking is important to you you should book one of our earlier dates.
Can we walk to the pumpkin patch?
Due to the location of the patch it's only possible to access it using one of the timed tractor rides which make a drop-off at the pumpkin patch. Please do plan your visit accordingly.
Can we book a part-day ticket for the morning (rather than the afternoon)?
No, sorry! The part-day admission is for access from 2pm - 5pm only. If you'd like to come along in the morning from 10am you will need FULL DAY tickets.
I'm bringing a visitor with ASD, will it be busy?
We recommend a weekday visit outside of school holidays when the bookable ticket numbers are less. We may be able to do another tractor ride for you after the main timed rides if you let us know in advance.
What is The Easter Egg Hunt?
You're taken from the farm up to the forest by tractor and trailer then you play games, solve clues and hunt for eggy clues to complete your puzzle page.
One completed children can exchange their page for a chocolate gift. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around for photos all day too. The whole ride lasts 45 - 55 minutes.
Farm entrance for the whole day is included too with farm animals, tractor rides and more.
Do adults need to buy tickets too?
Yes, please purchase a ticket for every person who wants to come on The Easter Egg Hunt. We aim to make our ride special for the whole family!
Children under 2 years old are free and do not require a ticket.
Is it possible to transfer tickets?
Unfortunately it's not possible to transfer tickets. This policy is in line with all major ticketed events.
Do we need to book tickets?
Yes, it's important to pre-book tickets for the Easter Egg Hunt as most rides sell-out.
Will tickets be available on the day?
All rides usually sell-out so it's not usually possible to book on the day. Tickets will be available only if spaces remain.
Why do I need to book a ride time?
The Easter Egg Hunt part of your ticket takes place in the forest and we only allow so many people at each time so it doesn't get overcrowded. Your ticket also includes farm park access for the whole day so you can come and stay the whole day whatever your timed ride (but do make sure you're at the boarding area at your booked ride time!)
Will be allowed to ride if we're late?
Not usually, no. We can only permit customers onto later rides if space permits and rides usually sell-out.
The booked ride time is the time the tractor leaves for the forest.
Do allow extra time to park, put coats on then walk to the boarding area.
Do the children receive a gift?
Yes, the Easter Bunny has a special chocolate gift for every child.
We will also have a number of gluten and dairy free alternatives so do be sure to ask for these if you require them.
Do the adults get anything?
You can have a photo with the Easter Bunny if you like?
Adult tickets would usually cost more than child tickets but as they don't receive a gift we've made them the same price as a child ticket.
Will the event be running if there's rain/snow /other bad weather?
We have a dedicated staff team who will endeavour to run this event in all conditions, providing it is safe to do so.
In the unlikely event an event date is cancelled we'll post this notice on our Facebook page and on the main event page..
Are dogs allowed on the farm?
Dogs are allowed within certain parts of the farm park- do see our dog policy here- DOG POLICY (javascript:void(0))but NOT on the tractor ride / easter egg hunt part. It may be best to leave your pooch at home if you're coming on the egg hunt.
Is the ride wheelchair accessible?
The ride features a ride in a trailer up to the forest which does have 3 stairs to access it.
We can carry one wheelchair in the trailer if you're able to fold it and we're happy to assist with this.
Alternatively if it's easier for you you're welcome to drive up to the forest in your own transport.

What is Church Farm Choose & Chop Christmas Tree Forest?
You have the opportunity to look round our forest to choose the Christmas tree you want. Once you've chosen you let our staff know and we'll come and chop it down for you then net it up ready to take away.
Do we need to book?
No, there's no need to book this year for Christmas tree sales.
Can we cut our own trees?
Not quite! You choose your tree from our forest then one of our staff will chop it down for you. For reasons of health and safety we aren't able to let customers actually cut their own tree though.
Do you sell rooted trees in pots?
Yes, we have a number of trees available to buy in pots. Due to the size of the root ball these trees are all under 120cm tall.
Is the farm park open for tree customers?
No, the farm park is closed in December and isn't accessible from the forest anyway.
Do we need to book?
Yes, all Enchanted Encounters must be pre-booked.
Who is Enchanted Encounters suitable for?
Enchanted Encounters is suitable for adults, couples or families with older children. It isn't suitable for very young children or babies.
How are Enchanted Encounters and The Santa Experience different?
The Santa Experience is a 60 minute journey around the farm with colourful characters, real reindeer, magical lighting, special effects, farm animals and a very special personalised * visit to see Santa.
Enchanted Encounters is essentially the middle bit of The Santa Experience. You get a tractor ride straight up to the reindeer lodge to meet the reindeer and there's smores included with this event too. Enchanted Encounters does not feature Santa or any of his friends.
Will we be able to touch / stroke the reindeer?
Our animal’s welfare is our primary concern therefore we will not force them to behave against their nature and all interaction is done on their terms.
Under normal conditions you will be able to get near to them though.

Do we need to book?
You don't need to book for any of the normal days.

What do you supply?
Church Farm essentially hires out a field for you hold your wedding on. It's a special location with awesome views and festival vibes!
We can also help you with supplier advice- marquee suppliers, caterers, bands, pianists etc to help you create your individual day.
How much do you charge?

Can you let me know your suppliers?
We have a large list of recommended caterers, musicians, marquee hire and entertainment companies to bring your wedding to life. Unfortunately we're not able to discuss these in detail until you've paid a deposit for the site.
What age children is this suitable for?
The Church Farm Adventure Camp is for children from 8 - 12 years old.
What times does this run?
Drop off each day is at 9:30am and collection is 4:00pm.
Is lunch included?
No, due to differing dietary requirements / allergies we ask that each child brings a packed lunch and drink / snacks with them.
How much is the adventure camp?
The Church Farm adventure camp is £125 for the 5 day experience for one child. Individual days (if spaces remain) will be £30 per day.
Is it possible to book for one or two days?
It might be but those booking for the whole 5 days will have priority once bookings open. Where spaces remain a day or two may be available.
Is there any discount for siblings attending on the same day(s)?
Yes, a second child will get 10% off.
Can you tell me a little bit more about the course leaders?
We sure can! All our instructors are first-aid trained and DBS checked. Our lead instructor also has considerable bushcraft training and considerable experience teaching similar courses at an outdoor activity centre.
